Mrs Katy Lou McCollum, 81, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Conway, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sena Ellen and Jasper Newt Garland; brothers, Herman, Demus, Junior and Paul, and a sister, Macie Mae Edwards.She was born in Mulberry,Arkansas September 25, 1931.She married her high school sweetheart, J C McCollum, to whom she was married for 62 years. She worked at the Bank of Mulberry for many years and was a beautiful woman, loving wife and mother.She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, J C; daughter, Sandra Ake and her husband William Jefferson Ake of Conway, Arkansas; son, Larry McCollum and his wife Cindy McCollum of Russellville, Arkansas; 3 grand children, Jason, Andrew McCollum and William Jeremy Ake; 2 great grandchildren, Liam and Wyatt Ake.
Pallbearers will be William Jeremy Ake, Andy McCollum, Jason McCollum, Ricky Cunningham, Monty Cunningham and Mike Edwards.

J C McCollum, 85, of Conway, formerly of Fort Smith, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Conway. He was born December 9, 1930 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to the late Mont and Nora Lee McCollum. He was a retired Vice President for First National Bank of Fort Smith, and had also worked at the Bank of Mulberry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katy McCollum; and a sister, Nola Abshere.He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Ake and husband William of Conway; a son, Larry McCollum and wife Cindy of Russellville; a twin sister, Wanda Cunningham of Mulberry; 3 grandchildren, Jason McCollum, Andrew McCollum, and William Jeremy Ake; and 2 great-grandchildren, Liam and Wyatt Ake.
