Hoyle Carrol McMurry age 72 of Banks, AR died Saturday, September 14th at his home. He was born October 5th, 1940 in Banks, AR, a son of the late Alford Lee McMurry and Catherine Clements McMurry. He was owner and operator of McMurry Transportation and a former employee of Lion Oil and a life long truck driver. Preceding him in death was his wife Vada Sue Sloan McMurry whom he married August 2, 1980 and she died January 11th, 2011 and a brother Kelly McMurry. Survivors include 3 sons, Daniel McMurry, Banks, AR, Samuel McMurry and spouse Johnna Sue, Banks and Daniel Sloan and spouse Sanci, Spokane, WA. 6 grandchildren Marti McMurry, Angel Stevenson, Carrie Robinson, Christopher Sloan, Alex Sloan and Dakota McMurry. 2 great-grandchildren Jeremiah Robinson and Lillianne Smith. Graveside services were 6:00 PM Monday, September 16th at McFarland Cemetery with Rev. B.K. Harris officiating. Burial was in McFarland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Richard McMurry, Scott McMurry, Josh Robinson, Chris Pennington, Mark Spencer and Gerald Mitchell.
