James A. Morgan, 72, of New Edinburg, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at his home.
Born December 23, 1939, at New Edinburg, he was a son of the late William A. and Ester Smith Morgan.
Mr. Morgan graduated from Bay High School. He served in the Army National Guard and was a retired carpenter.
Mr. Morgan was a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Stryker.
Survivors include two sons, James W. Morgan of New Edinburg, and Johnny A. Morgan of Fordyce; one daughter, Mary A. Morgan of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one sister, June Maass of Plano, Texas; and four grandchildren, Vanessa Hearon, Jessica Hearon, Kyle Burns and Kaitlyn Burns.
Funeral services were Wednesday morning, April 4, 2012, at McFarland Cemetery near Banks with Bro. Russell Ware officiating.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
