When James Wellington Weldon Wagley was born on August 15, 1851, his father, Joseph, was 47 and his mother, Martha, was 43. He married Josephine "Josie" F. White and they had ten children together. He also had one son with Barby Wagley. He then married Barbara Ann (Bartlett) Ledford? Hartsell on February 3, 1927. He died on June 8, 1935, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, at the age of 83, and was buried in Conway, Arkansas.
