PEA RIDGE — Tony Pinto, 84, of Pea Ridge died Dec. 25, 2005, at his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1921, in Los Angeles to Frank and Isabella Barrsi Pinto. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a bar machine gun operator and expert pistol and rifleman. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal with Clasp, Victory Medal, and two Bronze Stars with Oak Leaf Clusters. He worked for Santa Fe and Southern Pacific Railroad for 11 years as a welder/carpenter. He was a millwright for 35 years and a finish carpenter. He moved to Pea Ridge 15 years ago from San Bernardino, Calif. He was a member of Summerhill Health Club for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting was a member of the Bentonville-Bella Vista Lions Club and was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Pinto of the home; one daughter, Debbie Bartels and husband Keith of Quartz Hill, Calif.; one son, Frank Pinto and wife Leigh Ann of Pea Ridge; one brother, Frank Pinto of Banning, Calif.; three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Decatur Cemetery with George Wisley officiating.

Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
