Lonnie Allen McCoy, age 75, of Elgin, TX, formerly of Center Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Lonnie was born November 16, 1939 in Center Ridge, AR a son to the late Millard McCoy and Zona Flowers McCoy. Lonnie was of the Baptist Faith and a United States Army Veteran.
Lonnie had a passion for people, he loved his family and his grandchildren. Never meeting a stranger he loved to talk and visit with everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Son: Jerry Lee Adams, grandson; JD Adams, four brothers; and one sister.
Lonnie is survived by his wife: Glenda McCoy of Elgin, TX; Two sons: Kenneth Allen McCoy and wife Angela of Cameron, TX; David Freeman of North Dakota; daughter: Iva Dean Long of Fox, AR; Three Brothers: Harold and Robert McCoy both of Center Ridge; Cletus McCoy of Oppelo; Three Sisters: Jean Hill, Alene Hill, and Lucy Malik all of Center Ridge; Six Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6-8PM, Friday, December 19, 2014 at the funeral home chapel. Funeral Services will be 10AM Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Bob Neal and Sons Chapel. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Center Ridge.
