Sharon Lee Shelton of Springfield, AR, went to her heavenly home, to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. She was 65 years old and born on March 27, 1943 to Verna and Perry Asher in St. Louis, MO. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Conway, AR. She was preceded in death by her father Perry Asher, her mother Verna (Henderson) Asher Jackson and her step-father James Jackson.
Survivors include her son James Shelton, a grandson Joshua Shelton and two granddaughters: Janeen and Courtney Shelton all of Troy, MO. Also surviving are five sisters: Doris Flowers of Springfield, AR, Geraldine Swinney of Bowling Green, KY, Carol Baker of Desloge, Mo, Terry Marple of Conway, AR and Rose Ann James of Londell, MO; three brothers: James Shelby of Mayflower, Bill Shelby of Waxahachie, TX and Thomas Asher of Conway, AR; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, at Peace Lutheran Church in Conway, with interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Center Ridge, AR. Family visitation will be held between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 7, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
