Lucy Johnson Sipe
Lucy Johnson Sipe, 92, of Mt. Pleasant died on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at a nursing home in Mountain Home.
She was born August 27, 1914 Gid, Arkansas and was the daughter of Jelean and Dora Johnson.
Lucy was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Batesville. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Lucy absolutely adored her grandchildren and most especially her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons: Dale Sipe and his wife, Anita of Mooresville, Indiana and Douglas Sipe and his wife, Madeline of Melbourne; and one daughter: Dorothy Robinson and her husband, Ken of Mountain Home. Lucy is also survived by her six grandchildren: Tony Robinson of Knoxville, Tennessee, Chris Robinson of Mountain Home, Laura Lemons of Camby, Indiana, Stephanie Turi of Carmel, Indiana, Roger Sipe of Westminster, California and Bradley Sipe of Melbourne; and her ten great-grandchildren: Hayden and Kennedy Robinson both of Mountain Home, Allison and Melissa Lemons both of Camby, Savannah, Mary Hannah, and Lydia Grace Sipe all of Melbourne, Olivia, Brennan, and Adriana Turi all of Carmel.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Sipe, four brothers, Arnett Johnson, Pleas Johnson, Brack Johnson and Al Hall; three sisters, Margie Sipe, Mary Winkle and Edna Moser; and one infant son, Dallas Sipe.
Pallbearers are Thomas Wood, Ronald Cheatham, D. R. Edwards, Johnny Johnson, W. C. Evans, and Curtis Sipe.
Funeral services are at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Roller-Crouch Chapel in Melbourne with Pastor Jerry Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the service at the Barren Fork Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
