Audra Monroe cowan, 87, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died Friday, September 23, 2005, in a local nursing home. He was born August 7, 1918, in Harmony, Arkansas. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, the Western Arkansas Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa and the Community Band of Western Arkansas. He was an Army veteran of World War II, received the Purple Heart, graduated from Clarksville High School and the College of the Ozarks (now the University of the Ozarks), and earned his master's degree in music education at the University of Oklahoma. He taught band at Ramsey Junior High School for nearly 30 years and was inducted into the Arkansas Bandmasters Hall of Fame.

Margaret King Cowan, 93, of Fort Smith, died January 7, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born May 1, 1921 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Argus Irl and Iva Esther Gammill King. She was retired from the Fort Smith Public School System after serving 14 years as a teacher for Raymond Orr School. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Alpha Delta Kappa, Retired Teachers Association, the Colonial Home & Garden Club, and a Life-time member of the P T A. She is survived by 1 daughter, Kathryn and husband Bruce Rice of Fort Smith; 3 sons, David and wife Terry Cowan of Little Rock, Arkansas, Donald K Cowan of Dallas, Texas, and Kenneth and wife Susan Cowan of Fort Smith; 1 brother, David and wife Pat King of Fort Smith; 6 grandchildren, Patrick and Sarah Cowan, Kendall and Daniel Rice, and Rachel and Phillip Cowan. She was preceded in death by her husband Audra M Cowan; and 2 brothers, Bill and Cecil King.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her Grandchildren.
