Carroll H. Rowbotham of Clarksville, Arkansas was born January 30, 1934 to Hilda and Everett Rowbotham in Scranton, Arkansas. He peacefully passed at the age of 81, Monday evening, December 7, 2015 surrounded by family and strengthened by his Methodist Faith.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister Dana Jo Rowbotham.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sherry Rowbotham, of Clarksville; his two daughters, Denise Lovelace, of Hong Kong; and Lisa Adamson and husband, Tim, of Charlotte, NC; step daughter, Robin Goodell of Cincinnati; two step sons, Randal Young of Oviedo Florida and Regan Young of Lake Mary Florida; seven grandchildren: Brittany Kaluhikaua (Lovelace), Austen Lovelace, Nicholas, Nathan, and Mallory Adamson, Payton Goodell, and Randi Young; and two great grandchildren: Casey and Colton Kaluhikaua.
Carroll married Rita King (Carrington) in 1953; who still resides in Clarksville, Arkansas. They moved to Texas shortly after where he spent the majority of his career in telecommunications.
In 1981, he married Sherry Young in Denton, Texas where they became partners in business and life until retiring to Lamar, Arkansas.
During his career, Carroll was a manager, a marketer, accomplished entrepreneur, a sculptor, an artist, and a photographer; but will always be remembered as a devoted husband; loving son and brother; and caring father and grandfather. Carroll never met a stranger in life and his family is comforted knowing that he will be reunited with his friends and family in the afterlife. Whether he was known to you as Dad, Bumpa, Grandpa Carroll, Grandpa Dallas or Carroll, he will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
The memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Clarksville Arkansas, with Reverend John Palmer officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the Family Life building.
Carroll’s final resting place will be Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas
