Edward McNeil Hesselbein was born on June 17, 1887, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, the son of George. He married Ollie Mae Hill in 1906 in Conway, Arkansas. They had five children during their marriage. He died on August 5, 1939, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 52, and was buried in Center Ridge, Arkansas.
