Oma (Chappell) Fulbright
Oma Fulbright, 91, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in Batesville. Born March 29, 1916, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Thomas M. and Della Madie Couch Chappell.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, canning and gospel and bluegrass music. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist in Batesville.
Survivors include a son, Jimmie Fulbright of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Alice Short of Mount Pleasant; a brother, King Chappell of Alpena; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lowen B. Fulbright; a granddaughter, Cheryl Fulbright; six brothers; and a sister.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Melbourne with Laurie DeWitt and Danny Brightwell officiating.
Burial will be in Barren Fork Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roger Leonard, Chuck Short, George Johnson, Bobby Johnson, James Johnson and Steve Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are R.W. Hollowell, Joe Baker, Bill Fuller, Earl Gwinn and David Gwinn.
