BENTONVILLE — Janice A. McDaniel, 61, of Bentonville died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
She was born Dec. 3, 1940, in Rogers to Pete Graham and Thelma Wiseley Graham. Janice graduated from Rogers High School, class of 1958, and was a member of the RHS "Blue Bombers." She graduated from Fayetteville Business College and retired after 27 years of service with Daisy Manufacturing, where she was accounting manager. She was also instrumental in arranging and planning the Daisy Centennial celebration. Janice was active in Arkansas Cattleman's Association, Benton County Quails Unlimited and the Northwest Arkansas Symphony. She is co-owner of J&H Painting and Carpentry Inc. of Bentonville. She enjoyed horses, raising cattle, fishing, collecting arrowheads and spending time with her grandchildren. Janice was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas and a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Bentonville. One of Janice's greatest joys was giving of herself to others.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Howard L. McDaniel of the home; her mother, Thelma Graham of Rogers; three sons, Scott McDaniel and wife Kim of Bentonville, Chris McDaniel and wife Anne of Bentonville and Michael McDaniel and wife Lori of Rogers; two daughters, Shari Griffin-Short and husband Scott of Centerton and Pam Hill and husband Paul of Bentonville; and 10 grandchildren: Arissa Griffin of Centerton, Kaleb Hill of Bentonville, David McDaniel of Bentonville, Brianna Wilkins of Bentonville, Caleb McDaniel of Rogers, Jordan McDaniel of Rogers, Joshua McDaniel of Rogers, Brittany Short of Centerton, Stormy Short of Centerton and Kate Short of Centerton. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Graham, in 1997. Janice will be loved and missed by many.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2002, in Bethel Baptist Church with brother Ernie Watson and the Rev. Mike McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Oats Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Baptist Church of Bentonville. Memorials made to made in honor of Janice McDaniel to Bethel Baptist Church Parsonage Fund, 207 N. Walton Blvd, Bentonville 72712.
Funeral service is provided by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.
