When Cordelia Polk was born on August 18, 1899, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, her father, Andrew Jackson Polk, was 24, and her mother, Martha A Howard, was 19.
When Scott Lincoln Watters was born on December 3, 1897, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, his father, Joseph, was 31 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 29. He married Cordelia Polk in 1917. They had three children during their marriage. He died on April 18, 1935, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, at the age of 37, and was buried there.
