Charles Edward Wesson was born March 5, 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Joe Wesson and Minnie Pearl (Moore) May. He departed this life on September 28, 2016 in Downey, California, at the age of 71. He was a graduate of Grace James School in Clarksville. After graduation, Charles served in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant and he also served in the United States Navy. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Jemison Wesson; his father and mother; his step-father, Othella May, Jr; a sister, Joann Wesson Means; and a brother, Joe Wesson. Jr. He is survived by his step-mother, Nora Lee Wesson of Little Rock, Arkansas; 3 sons: Charles Wesson Jr of Atlanta, Georgia; Donald Davis of Provo, Utah; Derwin Davis of Jacksonville, North Carolina; a daughter, Daphne Davis of Prattville, Alabama; 7 brothers: Clarence May, Claude May, Earl May and wife, Linda, Andrew May and wife, Debbie, Clifford May and wife, Monica, all of Clarksville, Arkansas; Marty May and wife, Debbie, of Springdale, Arkansas; and Dewayne Wesson of Little Rock, Arkansas; 9 sisters: Carolyn (LuLu) May, Bobbie Holt, Mary May, and Linda May, all of Clarksville, Arkansas; Breanna Banks and husband, Herman, Linda Wesson, Karen Sue Horton and husband, Andrew, and Shirley Graves, all of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His family would like to thank his special friend, Yolanda Yolas of Los Angeles, California, for the love and care of their brother. Pallbearers will be Clarence May, Claude May, Andy May, Marty May, Clifford May, Dwayne Wesson, and Earl May.
