York William Sims, Sr was born on October 11, 1953 to Calvin E Sims, Sr and Worley L Miller Sims in Webb, Mississippi. He passed away on May 6, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was 64.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Calvin E. Sims, Jr.His is survived by his wife, Javanna Cotton Sims; sons, York William Sims, Jr. (Cassidy) of Folsom, California; Calvin Lee Sims (Cassie) of Clarksville, Arkansas; daughters, Danita Sims-Smith (Hairl) of Clarksville, Arkansas; Appalonia Sims-Leon (Victor) of Clarksville, Arkansas; brothers, J T Sims Clark (Colin) of James Arthur; sisters, Veola Rankie (Jessie) ; Gennie Suggs-Smith of Memphis,; Francine Freeman (Wayne); Cora Farmer ; Lenora Arnold; Rachael Blair (James); Jackie Sims all of Memphis, Tennessee; and 9 grandchildren.
Pallbearers are William Cotton, Palace Lee Cotton, Ronnie Green, Jefferey West, Gary Perry, Charles Cotton, Lester Green, Patrick Sims. Honorary Pallbearers are Samie May, Charles Wilson, Clarence May, Sam Scott.
