Richard William Cotton was born November 12, 1957, in Clarksville, Arkansas to Palace Lou Cotton and Paul Davis. He was baptized at an early age at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Clarksville, Arkansas and was currently a member of the Journey Church in Russellville, Arkansas. He attended Grace James and graduated with the class of 1976 at Clarksville High.He worked at various companies throughout his life, such as Pop Cola Bottling Company, Greenville Tube, Army National Guard, 15 years at Tyson Food, then he became a heavy equipment operator for the last 17 years and was currently with Black Stone Construction. He also had a love for doing photography on the side. He is survived by 1 daughter Kelli Rachelle Cotton (Antwan) McCray, 1 granddaughter, India Maree Cotton, all of Conway, AR. His significant other, Teresa Lamproe of 31 years. 1 sister, Linda Luster (Bobby) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 1 Aunt, Shirley Cotton (Alston) of Clarksville, Arkansas. 1 nephews, Clayton Alston, Stanley Holt, both of Fort Smith, Arkansas. 1 great-nephew.He is preceded in death by his mother, Palace Lou Cotton; Grandparents Willie (Bill) and Lillie Golden Cotton; and several Aunts and Uncles. Richard loved his family and friends and in return was loved by many.
Pallbearers will be William Cotton, Thomas Perry, Palace Cotton Jr., Allen Ray Chenault, Charles Cotton, Roy Cotton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony York, Albert Bagsby, Jimmy Cotton, Phillip Cotton, Jeffery West, Richard Bagsby, John West, Tommy Steel, “The Third Heard”.
