1890 - July 31, 1974
Mrs. Laura McLeish Keel, of 522 S. Parkway, died Wednesday afternoon in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be announced by Young's. Mrs. Keel was born in Plain Dealing, La., and was the daughter of Robert and Laura Russell McLeish. She was a life-long resident of Union County and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one son, Morris B. Keel of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert E. Thomas of St. Petersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie M. Bond of Mansfield, La., Mrs. Lillian Moore of DeRidder, La., and Mrs. Henry M. Martin of Beaumont, Tex.; and four grandchildren. (El Dorado News-Times - August 1, 1974)
