Rankin H. "Mac" McCarty, 96 of Camden formerly of El Dorado, AR passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Ouachita Medical Center in Camden, AR
Mr. McCarty was born April 8, 1920 in Paris, Kentucky to the union of Howard Thomas McCarty and Florence Caswell McCarty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia M. Walker McCarty, one brother and five sisters.
Mr. McCarty was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII, and was the former owner and operator of Monk's Radiator Shop in El Dorado. He attended St. Mark Methodist Church in El Dorado.
Survivors include his two sons, Paul R. McCarty of Camden and Larry D. McCarty of Magnolia, two sisters, Jean Henry of Paris, KY, and Gladys Hunt of Mt. Sterling, KY., one grandson, David A. McCarty, and two great grandchildren, Aden Skye McCarty and Sarah Beth McCarty.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017, 12:00 noon until funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bailey Funeral Home, with Rev. Winston Roden officiating.
Cremation services provided by Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado, AR
