When Noah Shipp was born on April 5, 1917, his father, Thomas, was 32 and his mother, Sleetie, was 37. He married Oma McCoy on August 21, 1933. They had five children during their marriage. He died on March 25, 1982, in Cleveland, Arkansas, at the age of 64.
