Nevis Earl Sims, 63, of Trumann, Arkansas, died Friday, May 1, 2015, at the family residence.
He was born August 23, 1951 in Jonesboro, Ark., to Perry and Mary Edith Sims and had lived his lifetime in Trumann.
Nevis was a forklift driver with Firestone in Memphis, Tenn., a veteran of the U.S. Army and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his parents, Perry and Mary Edith Sims of Trumann, two sisters, Tammy McDaniel and Cindy Taber both of Trumann; and four nephews, J.R. McDaniel, John McDaniel, Dylan Kelso and Gage Kelso.
Graveside service were in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Ark. Funeral arrangements were by Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
