Mr. Michael Paul Hancock, age 35 of Pasadena, TX passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013.

Mr. Hancock was born on January 4, 1978 in Chaffee, MO the son of William Paul Simpson and Mardell Hancock.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather William "Shorty" Simpson.

Survivors include: his father , his mother; grandparents; Amelia Lavern Simpson, Tommy and Therlene "Terry" Hancock; one brother, Marcus Hancock; one sister, Twana Phillips; six uncles, Gerald Simpson, Roland Hancock, Clifford Hancock, Jeff Scherer, Joe Scheffer, and Jimmy Hirtz; five aunts, Alanna Scheffer, Terry Hirtz, Theresa Hancock, Amy Hancock and Crystal Scherer; three great-aunts, Lola Drewey, Juanita Curtis, and Wythel Bacon; nine nephews; eight nieces; three grand-nephews; and three grand-nieces.

In July of 1981 his family moved to Pasadena where he officially became a Texan and never wanted to leave. In 1996 he graduated from Sam Rayburn High in Pasadena where he was on the Honor Roll. He was honorably discharged from both the United States Marine Corp. and the United States Army. He received his Paramedic degree from San Jacinto College and was on the National Registry of Paramedics.

Michael was employed by C.B. & I. Chemical where he received his Fire Safety Degree.

He was a member of Lakewood Church in South Houston, TX.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Birdeye, AR with Bro. William Witcher officiating.
A memorial service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the Oak Hill Church of God in Forrest City
