David Paul Smith, 63, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed from this life Thursday, May 1, 2014.
He was born June 3, 1950, at Longview, Wash. He was of the Christian belief. Survivors include four brothers, Terry (Becky) Smith of Lemont, Ill., Clark (Angie) McDaniel and Chuck (Mary) McDaniel, all of Jonesboro, and Jeff (Nazz) Smith of Los Lunas, N.M.; a sister, Nikki (Ray) Coln of Jonesboro; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He joined the Army in September 1969 and volunteered for two 12-month tours of duty in Vietnam. He was attached to a 101st Airborne unit and served his country proudly and volunteering for two 12-month tours of duty in Vietnam.
Services were private with burial in the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye.
