Elroy Pittman Gilbert, 80, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017.
She was born on April 10, 1936, to the late Roy and Mable Moore Pittman.
Elroy lived her life residing in the Jonesboro area. She loved to camp, hike and go to the Buffalo River. She also enjoyed animals, especially her cats, and she loved to work in her garden. She worked for Quality Optic as an optician until her retirement. She was a member of the Living Church of God. The love she showed her family will be missed but never forgotten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gilbert, and one sister, Dorothy Flanagan.
She is survived by her son, Michael Gilbert (Cindy) of Gosnell; three grandchildren, Kevin Gilbert of Jonesboro, Amanda Casey (Garrett) of Manila and Jeremiah Binkard (Rhonda) of Lebanon, Tenn.; four great-grandchildren, Weston and Lily Binkard of Lebanon, Tenn., and Rylan and Karlee Rae Casey of Manila; two brothers, David Pittman of Tampa, Fla., and Danny Pittman of Oregon; five sisters, Eloise Shirley of West Memphis, Linda Gray of Morrilton, Ellen White of Hardy, Helen Medlin of Oklahoma and Kathleen Pittman of Dallas; and a host of other family and friends.
All her services were by Emerson Funeral Home with interment in Bird Eye Veterans Cemetery.
