Harold Farris passed away on February 5, 2015. He was born in Elba, Alabama to J.C. & Elizabeth Farris on April 25, 1931.

Harold is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annette Farris; a daughter, Lynn Suitt (Mike) of Jonesboro and a son, Mark Farris of Batesville; five wonderful grandchildren, Lindsey Suitt of Jonesboro, Wesley Suitt (Rachel) of Nashville, Taylor, Molly and Sydney Farris of Jennings, Louisiana; two brothers, James Farris of Elba, Alabama, Ronald Farris of Montgomery, Alabama, and a sister, Louise Birtig of Blue Water Bay, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Libby Alloway and Minnie Mae Farris.

Harold was a loving husband and grandfather. He served in combat during the Korean War, and graduated from Troy State University where he attended on a football scholarship. Harold had a long career in sales for Dorsey Trailers of Elba, Alabama and Lowrey Chevrolet of Many, Louisiana where he received numerous national sales awards in both trailers and GMC trucks.

Harold and his wife retired and moved to Jonesboro in 2001when he joined First United Methodist Church, where he served faithfully as an usher.

A memorial service will be held in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 8. Visitation will be held in Hon Lounge at the church at 2:00 pm prior to the service.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, February 9, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
