Charles Douglas Dement, 72, of Pocahontas, formerly of Lawrence County, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Randolph County Nursing Home.
Born January 7, 1943 in Egypt Arkansas, son of Alonzo “Lonie” and Mary Parnell McElroy Dement. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam era, also an electrician, HVAC tech, and a Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ed Dement and great granddaughter, Hannah Dement.
Survivors include, two sons, David (Lisa) Dement of Imboden, Matthew (Stephanie) Dement of Mountain Home; two daughters, Tamela Dement of Joplin, Missouri and Wendy (Mark) Wyatt of Athens, Georgia; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Marlene Dement and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, at Birdeye, Arkansas.
In Lieu of flowers memorials to the Wounded Warriors Project.
