Roger R. Chartier died July 27, 2016, at home in Harrisburg, Arkansas.

Roger was born on July 25, 1957, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. He attended school in Rice Lake, Altoona, Eau Claire junior high and North High School.

Roger enlisted in the Army in 1976. Roger married Amy Dardine and together they had two children, a son Nathan and a daughter Nicole. They later divorced.

Roger served over twenty years in the Army and did two tours in Germany and one tour in Korea. He was the only non-commissioned officer at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, to achieve a level one instructor rating. He taught computer survey.

In 1987 he married Diana in Lawton, Oklahoma. After retiring from the military he went to work for Goodyear Tire and retired from there because of health issues.
He and Diana then moved to Harrisburg, Arkansas, where he lived out the rest of his life. Roger had a long battle with C.O.P.D.
Roger is survived by his wife, Diana, his son Nathan, daughter, Nicole, his grandchildren, stepsons Daniel and Stephen, his mother Karen Wingad, his sister Diane Hagedorn (Don), sisters Julie Wingad, Rhonda Stromback (Randy), brother Mark (Sandy) Wingad, Brian (Julie) Wingad and Shell Wingad.
He was preceded in death by his two dads, Ronald R. Chartier and Ronald K. Wingad, brothers, Kevin Chartier, Mike Wingad, Bruce Wingad, Daniel Wingad, his grandparents Lyna and Archie Derousseau and grandmother Florence Sand.
A private service will be held at a later date.
