Temporary Grave Marker
Mr. Johnathan Scott Everett of Harrisburg, departed this life Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the Flo & Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, at the age of 54.
He was born August 10, 1962 in Paragould, AR, the son of the late Paul Everett and Aileen Tucker Everett.
Scott worked for Armor Seed in Waldenburg and Fisher for the past 10 years. He married Laura Ivy in 1996 and they enjoyed 21 years together. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Persian Gulf. He enjoyed yard work, playing the guitar and spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, George Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Everett of the home, three sons, Josh Everett of Covington, LA, Kevin Everett (Ashley) of Andalusia, AL, and Billy Thomas of Paragould, AR, two daughters, Tina Campbell of Harrisburg, and Amanda Everett of Andalusia, AL, three brothers, Sam Everett of Paragould, AR, Keith Everett (Diane) of Little Rock, AR, and Charles Everett of Paragould, AR, three sisters, Pat Clements (Benny) of Marmaduke, AR, Paulette Gadberry (Wendall) of Lafe, AR and Judy Clark (Vic) of Walnut Ridge, AR, and sixteen grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, with Rev. Paul Peters officiating. His ashes will be interred at the Arkansas State Veteran’s Cemetery in Birdeye. That service will be 10 a.m. Monday with full military honors. There will be no visitation prior to services Sunday.
