Gary Clayton Winters, 64, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Winters was born Oct. 8, 1949, at Harrisburg, Arkansas, to the late Jim Ed and Ora Marie Tibbs Winters.

Mr. Winters was of the Baptist faith, served in the Marines during the Vietnam conflict, retired from the U.S. Postal Service, worked at Heavenly Ham, and enjoyed gardening, yard sales and bowling.

Survivors include his wife, Cissy Winters of the home; one daughter, Tina Treat and husband Jason of Jonesboro; one son, Brian Winters and wife Cassie of Jonesboro; four brothers, Jimmy E. Winters of Ramer, Tenn., Jerry W. Winters of Bentonville, David L. Winters of Wynne and Jerry Freeman of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; two sisters, Daisy Kathleen Tate of Wynne and Edna Gaskin of Harrisburg; two grandsons, Clayton and Gage Treat of Jonesboro; one granddaughter, Amber Maudine Molly Winters of Jonesboro; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Winters was preceded in death by his stepmother, Edna E. Winters; and three brothers, Edward Winters, Charles Freeman and Roy Freeman.

Memorial services were at the Birdeye Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila.
