Mr. Dale Brooks, 70, of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, passed away, Tuesday, August 12, 2014, in Wynne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lois Browning Brooks.
Dale was born in Rector, Arkansas, on September 13, 1943.
He was the manager of the Cherry Valley IGA Grocery and a member of the American Legion. Dale served his country in the U. S. Army during Vietnam.
He married Linda Van Fossen in 1967, who survives him and they have two daughters, Lori Brooks of Allen, Texas and Lisa Brooks of Cherry Valley, Arkansas. He is also survived by her brother, David Brooks and wife Sonjia of Greer's Ferry; sisters, Carol Davis and June Pitchie of Popular Bluff, MO; grandchildren, Sheldon Darter; Robert Dale Brooks, and Jacie Brooks.
Arrangements were by: Kernodle Funeral Home. Funeral services were at Cherry Valley Baptist Church with burial in the Arkansas Veteran's Cemetery at Birdeye.
