September 25, 1919 - June 24, 2014
Everett Milton Mann, 94, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in Dunwoody, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Brutus Mann and Bessie Dye Mann; brothers, Robert Mann and Myron Mann; and sister, Elizabeth Mann Stark.
He was born in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, on September 25, 1919.
Milton was a retired U. S. Postal Service employee. He was a lifetime member and past American Legion Commander of Post #206 of Cherry Valley, past Master of Poinsett F and AM Lodge #184, and past president of Cross County NARFE. Everett was the co-leader of Cherry Valley 4-H Club for many years. He was a member and trustee of First United Methodist Church of Cherry Valley. He served his country during World War II in the U. S. Army Air Force. Milton and Margaret were married 72 years. They relocated to an Assisted Living Home in Atlanta, Georgia to be near their son, Terry and daughter Beth. Milton enjoyed living near his grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were the joy of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Mann of the home; son, Terry Mann of Deluth, Georgia; daughter, Beth Mann Turbiville of Peachtree City, Georgia; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grand-children.
Services were held at Kernodle Funeral Home with burial at the Arkansas Veteran's Cemetery at Birdeye, Arkansas.
