Lawrence Edward "Larry" Colvin, age 90, of Forrest City passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Forrest City Medical Center.

Mr. Colvin was born in Parkin, Arkansas on November 13, 1923 the son of John Wesley Colvin and Georgia Palmer.

He spent his entire life in Forrest City, was a former employee of Eaton Corporation, a Veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of the Widener Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Doyle Colvin; three brothers, Earl Colvin, Allen "Gus" Colvin, and William "Buddy" Colvin; and five sisters, Elzora Steele, Bertha Hightower, Birgia Snelson, Velva Melton, and Pearl Barber.

He is survived by his wife, Allene of Forrest City; two sons, Gerald Colvin and wife Shirley, and Dennis Colvin and wife Robin all of Forrest City; three step- daughters, Cathy Colvin and husband Ira, and Sharon Hitchman and husband Bill all of Forrest City, and Sandra Nodini and husband Mitch of West Memphis; eleven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Morgan Funeral Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Woodard officiating.

Burial will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas.
