John W. Hunter, a resident of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the age of sixty-five.
He was born on September 29, 1949, in Sanger, Texas.
John married Brenda Faye Oswalt on May 21, 1986.
John served in the U.S. Army from 1968 until he retired in 1994. He attended the Valley View Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion. His favorite pastimes were fishing, and watching old western movies and spending time with his family.
Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Mark Hunter, and one sister: Charlene Hunter.
John is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years: Brenda Hunter of the home, two sons: Warren G. Hunter and wife Kristi of Waco, Texas, Travis Hunter of Truman, Arkansas, four daughters: Renea, Sara, and Angela Hunter all of Wynne, Arkansas, Michelle Hunter of Forrest City, Arkansas, three brothers: Larry Hunter, David Hunter, Sam Hunter, and eight grandchildren.
Burial was in Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery-Birdeye, directed by Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home.
