Robert Lee Harshberger, a resident of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the age of Sixty-eight. He was born on November 18, 1946 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Robert Melvin and June Helen Benner Harshberger. Robert married Ms. Rebecca Taylor on September 3, 1970.

Mr. Harshberger was a graduate of LaPuente High School in California, before enlisting in the U. S. Army. He served in the Vietnam War as a Sergeant, receiving a Purple Heart medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross medal before being honorably discharged in 1971.Bob was a member of the American Legion and the NRA. He enjoyed listening to music, drawing, painting, driving, doing puzzles, and playing cards. He was a GREAT man and a hero to his kids. He loved spending time with his family and friends. “To know him was to love him.”

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother: Betty Jean Moore Harshberger, two brothers: Harry and Richard Harshberger, and one sister: Donna Kay Galvan.

Mr. Harshberger is survived by his wife of forty-five years: Rebecca Harshberger of the home, two sons: Richard Harshberger and wife Angela of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, Robert D. Harshberger of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, two daughters: Sharon Harshberger and Melanie Harshberger both of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, three brothers: Terry Harshberger of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, John Harshberger of Russellville, Arkansas, Hank Davis of Russellville, Arkansas, three sisters: Cindy Ann Weston of Morrilton, Arkansas, JoAnn Crawford of Bullhead City, Arizona, Alice Davis of Lucerne Valley, California, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Harshberger will be Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 6 till 8:00 p.m. at Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home with interment following in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery- Birdeye with military honors
