Gerold Peeler, 64, of Cherry Valley, Arkansas passed away Monday, December 1, 2015.

He was born June 7, 1951, at Wynne, Arkansas to Herbert Eugene and Neva Aline Henderson Peeler.

Gerold married Charlotte Yvonne Balch on August 20, 1971.

After graduating from high school, Mr. Peeler joined the Army and proudly served in the 23rd Infantry Americal Division in the Vietnam war from 1969 to 1971. He was a Sunday school teacher and member of the Cherry Valley Baptist Church. Gerold worked for Foam Fabricators in Forrest City, AR. until retiring. He enjoyed watching the history channel, squirrel hunting, woodworking and then giving what he had made to friends. His most beloved pastime was spending time with his family.

Mr. Peeler was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.

Gerold is survived by his wife, Yvonne Peeler of the home; daughter, Christy Banton (Jason) of Wynne; brothers, Harold Peeler of Vermillion, Ohio, and Kenneth Peeler of Wynne; and grandson, Matthew Banton.

Arrangements were by Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home. Graveside services were held in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye.
