James Frederick Rutherford, 63 of Cleveland, died Saturday, April 27, 2013. James was born December 25, 1949 in Little Rock to the late Thomas and Anna Laura (Hendrix) Rutherford. He is also preceded in death by son, James Frederick Rutherford Jr. and daughter, Jennifer Lynn Pearson.
James was a US Army Sargent in the Vietnam war. He was a devoted husband, and loving father and grandfather. He was an accomplished chef. He enjoyed fishing, and was a "jack of all trades and master of none." James was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Trudy (Webber) Rutherford; children, Allison Lynn Rutherford, Ashley Leigh Rutherford (Kevin), and Aaron Elizabeth Flowers (Ben); grandchildren, James Anthony Rutherford III, Joplin Elizabeth Flowers, Iris Lee Flowers, and Macy Lynnette Lowder; sisters, Alice Gail Rutherford and Gloria Diane Rutherford; and niece Erica Adell Rutherford.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at Lost Corner Cemetery in Cleveland, with Bro. Tim Copeland and Thomas Anthony Flowers officiating. Pallbearers will be Ben Flowers, Kevin Lowder, Jared Brice, and Gene Flowers, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Felton Morrow, Melton Morrow, and Verdell Maxwell and Loyd Maxwell.
