When Heinrech (Heinrich) Jons (Joens/Jones) was born on September 29, 1842, in Broholm, Fyn, Denmark, his father, Hinrich, was 38 and his mother, Abel, was 26. He married Juliane Maria Dorothea Kath on June 3, 1870, in Clinton, Iowa, after they came over together on the Holstatia ship from Hamburg. They had ten children in 10 years. He died on January 30, 1922, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 79, and was buried there.
