Henry "Hank" West Shaw Jr., age 76, of Petit Jean Mountain, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was born June 25, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Henry W. Shaw and Elsa Brehm Shaw. The family moved to Petit Jean Mountain in January 1959. Hank graduated from Morrilton High School and entered the military that same year. He completed his military obligation with the U.S. Army, Air Defense Command in 1962. Hank attended Arkansas Tech University and graduated in 1965. He then graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1967. Hank was employed by and a principal of Sound-Craft Systems, Inc. on Petit Jean from 1967 until his retirement in 1999. He leaves behind his wife of over 50 years, Lydiann Hanesworth Shaw, one son, Gene Andrew Shaw of Dallas, Texas, and one sister, Sandra Lee Shaw of Petit Jean Mountain. He was of the Methodist faith. Hank was a soldier, a student, a business man, and a livestock breeder. Mostly he was a regular guy that loved the outdoors, his family, his mountain and his dogs. Graveside memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Petit Jean Lutheran Cemetery with Bro. Bill Scroggs officiating. Donations can be made to Rohlman Animal Clinic, P.O. Box 1403 Morrilton, Arkansas, Attention: KC Resue. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
