Dennis Van Meter, 73, of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away February 2, 2018. He was born August 2, 1944, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Elzie & Wilma Burke Van Meter. He was a member of Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was board member of Farm Bureau & a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He was a retired rural mail carrier and served in the US National Guard. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Peggy Fox Van Meter, 2 sons Eric Van Meter & wife Denise of Mitchell, South Dakota; Michael Van Meter & wife Rebecca of Charleston, Arkansas; 2 sisters, Laretta Boyd & husband John, Cleta Edgmon & husband Gary; 2 grand- children Zachary & Jonathan Van Meter.
