DARDANELLE — Earnest “Rooster” Huddleston, 83, of Dardanelle died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Saline Memorial Hospital at Benton.
Born March 27, 1921, at Carden Bottom, he was the son of the late Jack and Modean SMATHERS Huddleston. He was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Huddleston; a daughter, Shirley Bagwell; and two brothers, Jack Huddleston and Robert Barrett.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Huddleston and Lavan Huddleston of Dardanelle; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol and Cliff Coleman of Dardanelle, Peggy Whitehead of Little Field, Texas, and Theresa and Randy Smith of Danville; a twin brother, Sam “Red” Huddleston and companion, Jo Ann Huddleston of Russellville; two sisters-in-law, Ann Huddleston and Suzie Barrett of England; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at Lutheran Cemetery on Petit Jean Mountain with the Rev. Denver Robinson officiating. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
(Burial is not in Trinity Lutherine Cemetery but in Petit Jean Mountain that adjoins the Trinity Lutherine Cemetery)
