Ivon Skinner, 84, of 425 Park St., died early Friday in a local hospital following a two-week illness. Born Jan. 29, 1883, in Austin, Ark., he was the son of Eli and Annetta Rust Skinner. He was a retired bridge foreman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He had been a resident of El Dorado for the past 47 years where he was a member of the First Methodist Church and of the El Dorado Masonic Lodge No. 13. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. T. A. Robertson of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Edna S. Rowe and Mrs. H. W. Clay, both of El Dorado; a brother, Alva Skinner of Tacoma, Wash.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of the First Methodist Church with Dr. Alvin C. Murray and the Rev. J. Rayford McLean officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - December 8, 1967)
