William Taft Hampton, 95, of Paris, Arkansas died Monday, April 4, 2005, in a local hospital. He was a retired coal miner and a hardware store manager for F L Holton Hardware Store in Poteau,Oklahoma. He was a member of the Paris Masonic Lodge No 378, Choctaw Country Club in Ratcliff. He helped build relocation camp at Fort Chaffee during World War II.
There was a private family service at a later date. The body was cremated under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. He is survived by 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
