ROGERS — Loyd Gene McClure of Rogers passed away on Jan. 7, 2018. He was born on Nov. 27, 1941, in Saddle, Ark., to the late Joseph Thomas and Cliffie Virgil McClure. He was the husband of Patsy (Moore) McClure.

Loyd worked for Union Carbide for 28 years. After retirement, he enjoyed covered wagon rides, including the Shaddox Wagon Train from Harrison to Springdale. Loyd was a motorcycle enthusiast who also loved riding horses with his wife, Patsy. He and Patsy traveled together, and visited all 50 states.

Survivors include his wife; son, Loyd Eugene McClure and wife Lorie of Rogers; grandchildren, Shawn Geddes, Michael Adams, Hannah Thomson; great-grandchildren, Michael Paul Adams, Autumn Thomson, Lynk Geddes; brother, Ray McClure; and sister, Barbara Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nelson McClure; and sister, Evelyn McClure.

All are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Rollins Funeral Home. The graveside will be private, attended by family only. After the burial, all are invited to Patsy and Loyd's house for light refreshments.
