Donald "Buster" Pruett, 85, of Petit Jean Mountain, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008. He was born September 3, 1922 in McRae, Arkansas a son of Charlie Pruett and Loy Waters Pruett. Mr. Pruett was retired from Winrock Grass Farm, WWII Army Veteran, and member of Petit Jean Mountain First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Orphie Coble Pruett of Petit Jean Mountain; son, Rick Pruett and wife, Meri of Petit Jean Mountain; daughter, Carolyn Smith and husband, Mose of Oppelo; brother, Wayne Pruett of Salem, Oregon; sister, Aline Simmons of Petit Jean Mountain; grandchildren, Rikki Hunt and Amy Smith; great-grand son, Ethan Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Polly Baker and a son, Henry Lee Pruett. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Petit Jean Mountain Cemetery with Bro. Denis LaCook officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
