Carroll Monte Montgomery, age 66, of Arlington, Texas died Saturday, November 18, 2000. Monte was born on December 27, 1933 on Petit Jean Mt., the son of Ottis Lawton and Ruby Edith Montgomery.

He previously lived in Hutchinson, Kansas where he founded and presided over Montgomery International. He was the owner of Moon Meado Farm. He later moved to Arlington, Texas where he was founder and President of Southwestern Audio Visual Corporation. He remained in that position until his death.

Monte was a competitive horseback rider, avid naturalist and gardener. He especially loved the days of Indian Summer. He was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include his son, Lawrenced Mitchell Montgomery of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Blythe Megan Montgomery of rural southwestern Missouri; sisters, Glenna Suggs of Arlington, Texas and Bettye Henderson of Petit Jean Mt., Arkansas.

Funeral services were at 2:00 Monday, November 20, 2000 at the Harris Chapel by the Reverend Christopher Cooper with burial at that Petit Jean Mt. Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were Graham Suggs, George Suggs, Richard Powell, James Panasiuk, Jeremiah Suggs and Jim Baughman.

Memorials may be made to the Petit Jean Mt. Cemetery Association Perpetual Care Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
