Caroline Tracy was born
into slavery, about 1843.
William Tracy'
(her family's slave owner)
had died and his widow,
Nancy moved to Arkansas.
Caroline Tracy had a baby
daughter, Hannah, before the
death of Nancy Tracy in 1861.
All of the slaves were the
part of the 'Tracy Estate'
until after the Civil War
