Loyd Salter, 67, of Desha died Saturday, April 2, 2005 at White River Medical Center at Batesville.
Born at Locust Grove, he was co-owner of Patterson Salter Trucking Co. at Batesville and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Mae Bulter Salter of the home; three sons, Keith Salter of Cordova, Tenn., Kenny Salter of Desha and Kevin Salter of Southside; one daughter, Karen Edwards of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Floyd Salter of Batesville and Douglas Presley of Locust Grove; one sister, Geraldine Patterson of Batesville; seven grandchildren, Teigha Hall of Newark, April Salter, Madison Salter and Seth Salter, all of Southside, Brittani McClurg of Batesville and Lindsey Edwards and Jonathan Edwards, both of Mount Pleasant; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Ida Bell Pace Presley.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Desha, with Troy Sharp officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount View Cemetery east of Cave City, under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be Carl Young, Rick Buie, Jason Conner, Jamel Korkis, Marty Rolins and Jim McClung.
Honorary pallbearers will include Leland Sandy, Leon James, Jerry Goff, Thomas Sellers and Randall Sutton.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

DESHA — Glenda Mae Salter, 67, of Desha died Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, in a Batesville hospital.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Desha with Troy Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery east of Cave City under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Tim Sandlin, Kevin Coles, Marty Rollins, Jamel Korkis, Eric Butler and Jim McClure.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Tom Cummins, Mark Fraser, Brett Farris, Dan Moody, Max Edwards and Carl Young.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
