January 12, 1883 - April 1, 1968
James Fredrick Mellor, 85, of 1401 N. Jefferson Ave., died at his home Monday night. He was born Jan. 2, 1883, in El Dorado, and was the son of J. H. and Nettie McClanahan Mellor. Mr. Mellor was a retired civil engineer and a lifelong resident of El Dorado. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lovie Cole Mellor; one brother, E. H. Mellor, El Dorado; three sisters, Mrs. Lela Deaton, Texarkana, Miss Bertie Mellor, El Dorado and Mrs. Grace Miers of El Dorado; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
