June 25, 1902 - January 24, 1966
Lester Earl Bowling, 64, Alice, Tex., oil man, died in Alice Monday morning after a long illness. He was associated with M. Miller in oil and gas production in South Texas, having been in charge of production for 44 years. Mr. Bowling was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Alice, a Master Mason, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and Royal Arch Mason. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leoda Bledsoe Bowling; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Otahal of Tyler, Tex., and Mrs. Sandra Howard of Denver, Colo.; and four children. Funeral services will be held in the First Baptist Church of Alice Wednesday at 10 a.m. The body will be brought overland to El Dorado for graveside services and burial in Woodlawn Cemetery Friday morning, under the direction of Rumph Mortuary.
