When Patrick Henry Hamilton was born on August 10, 1890, in Perry, Arkansas, his father, William, was 40 and his mother, Nancy, was 23. He married Gladys Easter Montgomery on December 16, 1914. They had four children during their marriage. He died on December 5, 1983, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 93, and was buried in Oppelo, Arkansas.
